Corey's Birthday and Easter

Ok so I am an idiot and published the super cross post before this one, so please scroll down and read it too, we had so much fun. This year since Corey's birthday was so close to Easter we celebrated botha at the sametime. We spent Saturday with my family.

Corey had some helpers to open his presants.

My sister, Abbie, made Corey a John Deere cake. Camie, my other sister made the dog out of rice krispy treats.
 He had help blowing out the candles too.

We had an Easter Egg Hunt.

Getting into the easter basket from Grandma & Grandpa.

Then colored eggs.

On Sunday we went to Corey's parents house, had a yummy dinner and an Easter Egg hunt. Dax of course went to the sand box first.

 Playing in the sand after the egg hunt.

We had a small presant opening event, Corey had already got his big presant, a string trimmer. The rest were gift cards. Boring but that is what he wanted.

Dax's Photo Shoot

We did a photo shoot with Dax last weekend, for his 2 year old pictures. It was a lot of fun. We went to a couple of places that were just by my parent's house. Here are a few of my favorites:

Moab 2011

The first week in April we went to Moab with our friends. It was alot of fun. We left Friday afternoon and drove down with Jeff and Jessie.
We met up with Landon and Kim for dinner in Moab; they were already down there staying in a hotel. Then we started looking for a camp spot and kept looking for a camp spot, and kept looking. Landon finally found us one, but by then it was almost eleven and we were beat. So we got a hotel the first night.
This is dax jumping on the bed.
We got up the nest morning and set up our tent.
Here is our lovely camp.
We then went on a hike that was right across the road. It was up to Bow Tie Arch and Corona Arch. It was a fun hike, Dax loved it.
Crossing the tracks.
Dax got up here with Logan and Sienna; he thought the holes in the rock were pretty cool.

Climbing the ladder.
One of the arches, I don't know which is which.
Here is everyone sitting under the arch, there were people that were repelling off the top of the arch, it ws pretty cool.
On the way back.
We ate at the Moab Diner that night, Yummy. On Sunday the weather was pretty crappy, it was rainy and cold. Jeff and Jessie were nice and let us hang out in their trailer. We went to a waterfall later that day.
Then we went back to camp and had duch oven dinner. Jessie made BBQ chicken and potatoes, so good, and we made dessert. Unfortunatly all good things must come to and end so we woke up Monday morning, packed up and were on our way home. We stopped in Price to eat lunch and went to the Dinosaur museum there. Dax loved it.
Ahhhhhhh!
Our little archeologist.
Cheese!
He loved the teepee, he kept wanting to go back in there. They had alot of fun stuff.

Daxton is 2!!!

I can't believe Dax is now 2. He has been very into McQueen lately so he had a Cars party complete with McQueen cake and pinata. He had so much fun with his cousins and family, thanks to everyone for making it a special day.

The Cake
Corey helped me come up with creative ideas for snacks:
Grape Kool-aid = Oil
Cupcakes = Air Filters
Jello = oil filters
Pepermint Patties = clutches
Licorice = shocks
He loved opening his presents, maybe a little too much. If anyone tried to help they got a stern "Hey!" from Dax.
The Piniata
Everyone got to take a turn and then Corey ended up breaking it.
Dax loves Sweets.
After Dax's birthday we went to Las Vegas for a little Vacation. You can read the posts below for all of that fun.
